Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 July 2026

UK Sponsors ("we", "us", "our") operates uksponsors.com, an independent directory of UK employers licensed to sponsor work visas. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We have written it in plain English because privacy policies should be readable by the people they protect.

The short version

Who we are

UK Sponsors is an independent service and is not affiliated with the UK Government or the Home Office. For anything in this policy, you can reach us at support@uksponsors.com.

What we collect and why

Usage and analytics data

With your consent (where required), we use Google Analytics, loaded through Cloudflare Zaraz, to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, which tools are used, approximate location (country or region level), device and browser type. We use this to decide what to build and improve. Analytics events never include your name, email address, or the specific searches you run, and sensitive values such as salaries entered into our tools are grouped into broad bands before any event is sent.

Purchase data

If you buy a paid data product (such as historical CSV downloads), we collect your email address to deliver your purchase and send you an access link. Payment is handled entirely by our payment provider, Polar, which processes your card details under its own privacy policy. We never receive or store your card number.

Correspondence

If you email us, or use the feedback button (which opens your own email app; nothing is stored on our servers until you press send), we receive whatever you choose to include and keep it for as long as needed to deal with your message.

Server and security logs

Like nearly every website, our hosting provider, Cloudflare, keeps short-lived technical logs (including IP addresses) to run the site, prevent abuse, and defend against attacks. We rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure for this processing.

Advertising

We show adverts through Google AdSense to keep the core of this site free. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, and opt out of some other third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.eu. In regions where consent is required, we do not request any ads until you accept in our cookie banner.

Cookies

Our Cookie Policy lists every category of cookie we use and how to change your choices at any time. In short: essential cookies always run, and analytics and advertising cookies are gated behind consent where the law requires it (the UK, EU/EEA, and Quebec see an opt-in banner; California residents can opt out; consent choices are stored so we don't ask twice).

Legal bases (UK GDPR)

Who we share data with

We share data only with the service providers needed to run the site:

  • Cloudflare (hosting, security, and the Zaraz tag manager that loads analytics).
  • Google (Google Analytics and Google AdSense, subject to your cookie choices).
  • Polar (payment processing for paid data products).

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with data brokers. The sponsor information displayed on this site is public data published by the Home Office and contains organisation details, not personal data about our visitors.

International transfers

Some of our providers (Google, Cloudflare, Polar) process data in the United States and other countries outside the UK. Where they do, transfers are protected by safeguards such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep data

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or export the personal data we hold about you, object to or restrict our processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Email support@uksponsors.com and we will respond within one month.

You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we would appreciate the chance to resolve any concern first.

Children

This site is aimed at working professionals and employers and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means the updated policy applies.
